When Kathy Peterson first began designing scrubs, she noticed that many manufacturers viewed design as an afterthought. Scrubs were generic commodities, more about function than fashion.

As a former designer for companies ranging from Guess? to Carole Little, Kathy believed that women would welcome a more fashionable approach to scrubs. She followed her instincts and her contemporary designs helped make Barco Uniforms the talk of the industry.

Kathy followed her heart and founded Koi Design.  Kathy grew up in Hawaii and currently resides in Los Angels.
